i've always wondered how auto companies come up with the names for their vehicles
perhaps it's because if they actually run they're transportation miracles
like the chevy 'monte carlo'
did it get its name because anyone who bought one was taking a gamble?

or the chevy 'equinox'
does it only start twice a year?

do ford 'mustang's, 'pinto's and 'bronco's buck and throw you for a loop when you try to drive them?
a 'gremlin' is defined as 'an unexplained problem or fault' - yeah, great name for a car
how 'bout the 'escort' - did it get its name because every time you drive it you need a tow truck to 'escort' it to the garage?
or the 'escape' because you can never get away from the payments
and the 'endeavor'' because it tries its best to run
and what about the 'everest' - you have a better chance of scaling the mountain than getting it to go
you really have to concentrate to get a 'focus' to work

win or lose
some names i would choose
'inacura'
'siesta' instead of 'fiesta' because you can take a nap while you're waiting for it to start
how 'bout junkbox
always up on blocks
or money pit
more appropriate names, i think, as you're sitting at the repair shop again waiting for it

i've gotta go now, there's a commercial on t.v. for the new 'death trap 500' and they're giving free test drives

Probably a million writers have dabbled in such listing of amusements, but for once, here's one that really packs a punch for every single zinger! That NEVER happens! Usually it's about 50% lame boring attempts at cleverness. Each one of these is really funny & well-expressed as a quandary. I have always wondered at car names, but never to this degree! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Very thought provoking subject Pete and worthy of us thinking about how they use names and marketing to sell their wares. I like how you think on things and then you use humour to flavor the message. You got me thinking. Very unique subject, sir.
