Ah... the missing piece! Isn't that what we do from birth to death, Pete? We're searching for that "one thing" to make our lives complete, and just when we think we've found it, we realize it doesn't complete us. I truly admire poets who can pack so much into a few short lines. Ideal image, too!

yes, it certainly is. we must each complete our own puzzle one way or another with the pieces we've been given and if something is missing is up to us to fill it in with the best fit for us. thanks for sharing insightful thoughts r.e. ... :)
