Pete . . . this is a killer poem which I love. I have to share something I just wrote to Paul Bell in a private msg . . . I may regret sharing something so politically inflammatory, but it's so connected to what you're saying in this poem . . . always LOVE what you have to say! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Trump may be the most mind-boggling a*****e that has ever come along in politics, but that f****r has taught me to be more in love with the chaos that is democracy in America. I've actually learned to love a few of my Trump-loving friends lately, even tho I think their political views need to be flushed. Gotta love it. Why fight it? We're all a bunch of independent f***s & my 64th b-day (never been married, never had kids, never had a cell phone, many more . . . ) will be coming up on Independence Day (July 4th) . . . so how can I not love the wild dumbass spirit in this fucked up country?

Yes, the Thoreau quote is quite relevant. There will be things you can't control, so one had best learn how to let them alone. In the long run, you may find they weren't really that important.

I love reading, writing, music, nature, God and feeling emotion, not necessarily in that order. To me, these things go hand in hand. My favorite writer is Henry David Thoreau. I think he was a geni.. more..
