Distillation

Distillation

A Poem by Pete
"

I love you not as something private and personal, which is my own, but as something universal and worthy of love which I have found. - Thoreau

"

Ply me with love's liquor.
Win me with passion's wine.
Hug me with harmony's hooch.
Baptize me in the bountiful beauty of your bioral booze.

Whisper sparkling, sweet somethings in my ear.
Pour out inseparability 'til our glasses overflow.
Uncork your lips and I'll sublimate you with mine.
We'll press the fruit of our hearts.
Fermenting these feelings.

A drunken ardor has chosen us.
Our spirits are one.
I'm here.
You're there.
Together.
Everywhere.
I swear ...
