Night Rain | Landscaping the Sacred

I like the way it smells after a rain.
The ones that go all night.
Just before the clouds depart and the sun is sworn in.
Everything humbled.
Quietude incarnate out of respect and awe.
All made right again.
Starting anew.
Incapable of  betrayal and lies.
Because it has to be.

Washed truth.
A restoration of faith.
The way it was meant to be.
Like an addict, I can't get enough.
I inhale my fix.
Breathe my allotment.
Infuse my ration.
A miraculous dawn.
So I can continue on ...

Reviews

The theme of being cleansed and starting anew runs through this one. This is a particularly apt message for this current time, as it holds forth the hope of emerging from the darkness whole. We are all hoping for a "miraculous dawn" now.
