Forever Faithful

Forever Faithful

A Poem by Pete
"

It's only by forgetting yourself that you draw near to God. - Thoreau

"
Image result for god walking in the garden of eden

Hear him walking.
Feel his luminous presence.
Listen to the anthem that love plays.
Take my hand and you won't be led astray.
We'll climb over the cornerstone of glory.
Walking naked in the garden.
Laughing with the angels.
Picking sweet, innocent fruit.
Avoiding smooth-talking serpents.
Basking in faith's sun.
Thanking him forever that ...
... eternity is never done ...

I like the intro (first 47 seconds) and especially the ending (5:00 - end) of this song.

Author's Note

Pete
“God himself culminates in the present moment, and will never be more divine in the lapse of all the ages. And we are enabled to apprehend at all what is sublime and noble only by the perpetual instilling and drenching of the reality which surrounds us. The universe constantly and obediently answers to our conceptions; whether we travel fast or slow, the track is laid for us.” - Thoreau
