What's in Your Box?

What's in Your Box?

Make the most of your regrets; never smother your sorrow, but tend and cherish it till it comes to have a separate and integral interest. To regret deeply is to live afresh. - Thoreau

What do you?
When all your worst fears come true.
And the only crayons left in your box ...
... are black and blue ...

Short and to the point but with a fabulous idea behind it....a box of crayons with only the blacks and blues left over.......it literally does always happen that way. I suppose the only solution is to make use of what is left and draw out the blues on the page, then hopefully we can return with another box full of more vibrant colours.

A clever write in its brevity. Nicely conceived.

A most clever and visual piece of brevity. Yes there have been times when my only crayons have been black and blue. My way of dealing with these situations is to work with what I've got. Things change after a time, nothing stays the same. Nicely done Pete.

I simply loved this poem and I wish I had written it. Such a vivid depiction of depression and the blues...

Egads..I couldn't stand
it ..I suppose I would have to have to imagine in my minds eye some reds and yellows to combat the misery..
