Bifurcation

Bifurcation

A Poem by Pete
"

There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root. - Thoreau

"
Image result for calvary's hill

With a nuclear winter's sun splayed across my face.
Marking due east from spent west.
In a fallen creed's Sunday best.
An unwanted, temporary, overnight guest.
Oblivious to the rest.
Holding the keys to a virid house high-up on a hill.
Sheltering what's scarcely left of a broken world's barren garden.
Where I once faithfully stood ...
... in a righteous neighborhood ...
