Pete, a much-needed message, especially this time of year. As if the political rancor wasn't enough, late fall seems to bring more depression. But, your poem reminds us that nature happens, out of our control, guided by a higher power, and we ought to embrace it. As the photograph shows, nature has harmony and beauty in all season, all times of the day. A good write, sir.

We forget that we are of nature, not separate. Time and again the message is hammered home, and time and again, it goes unheeded.
I read what others say about your poem and feel like minded, and trust there is hope for the future; though at this point in time, I am not holding my breath.
Beccy.

indeed beccy. hope springs eternal as does nature. thank you for sharing ... :)
High time indeed. We have dutifully attended class, listened, (with half an ear,) to the teacher, made notes, discussed the lesson at length and in depth; then done what student's almost always inevitably do; which is go to the pub and forgot all about it.
Funny how we know such disregard is going to bite us in the arse. but still continue on the same foolish path.

Great accompanying picture. The poem is a great tribute to the natural order of things, which though not a formal religious dogma, is definitely a spiritual principle. Nothing is forced in nature; its elements function "naturally." Liked especially the part in verse 2 about leaves falling "without need to cry." It's a great comment about death's being a part of nature, and therefore nothing to fear. Very nice work here.
PS: do a spell check on the poem's first word. I don't think you need an apostrophe there.

I love reading, writing, music, nature, God and feeling emotion, not necessarily in that order. To me, these things go hand in hand. My favorite writer is Henry David Thoreau. I think he was a geni.. more..
