Pete, the art and the poem fit so perfectly together, blending emotion and vision in one shot. What I read here is a coveted woman, perhaps one the narrator has never met, but knows well from a given distance. He can't have her but his mind has trapped that body and passion in the darkness, where he and she stay for a "life sentence." A creative work!
