Image result for penicillin mold growing on bread

A legend in my own mind.
Strip-mined.
From the daily grind.
Under sever pressure.
Not sure if a diamond in the rough.
Could be a monster.
Or a fluttering songster.
Rocked out of my comfort zone.
Scared silly.
I fear that I've changed too much.
I don't even know who I am anymore.

Things that are comfortable don't grow or alter.
Except for mold.
And that quickly gets old.
Or so I've been told.
I'd rather be an old piece of bread than dead.
Better that I'm a cure and not a villain.
Delivering penicillin.
There's good in everything.
Carrying a note with the ability to sing.
Especially those who are steadfast and ...
... cling ...
