Burden

Burden

Image result for carrying burden piggy back

For most of my life.
I kept ugly truth at arms length.
Swimming in denial.
A bed of nails leaving its mark.
It caught up with me and wore me down.
Legs tired from piggy-backing it.
Freewill strained.
It owns me more than I dare to admit.
Holding me in hallmark's fraudulent pit.
Upon my soul, painful truth written and penned.
When will its unbearable weight ever end ...

Thought as it manifests itself as a creative thing within us...the weight of life as we view... to then go forth and live it. Great piece of work Pete.
