Whispering sweet-nothings. Never bothering to call. Fingers hovering over red buttons and mouths trash-talking. Bullshit strutting a thin line and moon-walking. Crossing into each others no-fly zone in a crude game of hopscotch. Hoping that the shell-game doesn't get botched. They weren't children but they acted like them.
