Loaded Dice

Loaded Dice

"Mine's bigger than your's."
Mouths mumbled from the sides of slack-jaws as their slick, cold war endured.
Whispering sweet-nothings.
Never bothering to call.
Fingers hovering over red buttons and mouths trash-talking.
Bullshit strutting a thin line and moon-walking.
Crossing into each others no-fly zone in a crude game of hopscotch.
Hoping that the shell-game doesn't get botched.
They weren't children but they acted like them.
Engaged in pointless, schoolyard-bully, mayhem.
Now shake hands and play nice.
Stare forever and blink twice.
As you each roll like ...
... loaded dice ...
