Do-Over

God himself culminates in the present moment, and will never be more divine in the lapse of all the ages. - Thoreau

Let it rain.
Pour.
More and more.
And more.
More.
From Heaven's core.
Four hundred times forty and four.
You and I exempt, as we close the damned door.

Breathlessly.
Exponentially.
Tangentially.
Transcendentally.
So the blood and sin are gone.
'Til everything is covered.
Covered in God's tears.
Then we can ...
... start over ...

“The life in us is like the water in the river. It may rise this year higher than man has ever known it, and flood the parched uplands; even this may be the eventful year, which will drown out all our muskrats. It was not always dry land where we dwell.” - Thoreau
