Baptize me.
Baptize me so my blindness can see.
Legitimize me.
Legitimize what I was meant to be.
Lock the door but don't throw away the key.
Hypnotize me.
Hypnotize what's left of my mind.
So I can be gentle and kind.
Get me out of this inextricable bind.

Calm me.
Calm me down so I don't make a fuss.
As I wait for the next bus.
To carry and deliver us.
Take me.
Take me out of this boat.
Place your candles around my parched throat.
So I can float.

Cover me.
Cover my body but not my face.
So I can continue.
Continue the race.
Picking up the pace.
Deal me.
Deal me a fourth ace.
In this Godforsaken place.

Pass me.
Pass me through fire, water and ice.
As I roll fate's dice.
Not touching the pie but obtaining a slice.
Marry me to Heaven.
Marry me to an angel and throw rice.
Make everything cozy and nice.
So I act once and think twice.
Make me exempt.
Exempt from life's ...
... steep price ...
