"In a pure society, the subject of marriage would not be so often avoided,--from shame and not from reverence, winked out of sight, and hinted at only; but treated naturally and simply,--perhaps simply avoided like the kindred mysteries. If it cannot be spoken of for shame, how can it be acted of? But, doubtless, there is far more purity, as well as more impurity, than is apparent." - Thoreau

Seems these days very little is sacred.. life is more a game, we win or we lose.. whichever, accept the end result and go find another pitch.. or re.court, perhaps.
Such a sad yet bitter post but, not uncommon these days. Why do I know so many older people, seemingly happy buddies - who have celebrated many years of marriage!? What's altered?
Is it less tolerance, more impatience; maybe tastes change, or folk just take too much. So many reasons debated, feted - and fated. Tragic.

I love reading, writing, music, nature, God and feeling emotion, not necessarily in that order. To me, these things go hand in hand. My favorite writer is Henry David Thoreau. I think he was a geni.. more..
