A Hundred Second Chances

A Hundred Second Chances

A Poem by Pete
"

We must have infinite faith in each other. If we have not, we must never let it leak out that we have not. - Thoreau

"

I don't know if left is right.
Whether Heaven is Hell or day is night.
The chapters of my life no longer turn in God's light.
Stillness tangles with the wind.
Goodness confronts sin.
Open the castle door and let me back in.
The rope of life has become knotted and frayed.
I confess alone with a fuel that's prayed.
Perception and emotion are ninety percent of reality.
The lock never changes but we must find the right key.
Mud made from his spit makes blind eyes to see.
Clouds and cold are ushered in but faith once again advances.
Snowflakes of possibility float silently down as an eternal heart twirls and dances.
Granting humanity ...
... a hundred second chances ...
