"Action from principle, the perception and the performance of right, changes things and relations; it is essentially revolutionary, and does not consist wholly with anything which was. It not only divides States and churches, it divides families; ay, it divides the individual, separating the diabolical in him from the divine." - Thoreau

First let me say, sorry I have not read you lately. I've been sketchy at the cafe & I always miss reading your well-crafted intriguing pieces. This seems puzzling to me. One one hand, I can feel this as a sincere accolade to a faithful servant. But on the other hand, I myself am so jaded by stories of abuse within the church, I also wonder if your message is satirical. It could be read both ways. To me, that's the best kind of writing (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

no worries - i haven't been in the cafe as much myself as daily life has been demanding more time. .. read moreno worries - i haven't been in the cafe as much myself as daily life has been demanding more time. is very interesting that you felt that it could be taken different ways. as a child going there to church, my father would often poke fun at him but my father is a very cynical, critical person. he would criticize one of the priests because he liked to go to the horse track on his free time. my father was jealous of the priests because he thought that they led an easy life compared to his. i actually didn't mean it to be satirical but i suppose it could be taken that way depending on one's perspective. definitely no abuse or misdeeds at that church that i am aware of. more evidence that you are a very astute reader with a sharp eye for detail. all my best to you ... :)
p.s. i see that you have posted quite a bit of new material - will be 'round for a read as soon as i can.

I love reading, writing, music, nature, God and feeling emotion, not necessarily in that order. To me, these things go hand in hand. My favorite writer is Henry David Thoreau. I think he was a geni.. more..
