Better to have burnt skin in the game.
Letting truth take temporary refuge in shame.
Hindsight always looks back from a crystal clear day.
Time erases all remnants of conflicting gray.
Redemption always grows in neat little rows.
Chiseled within the art of Heaven's undeniable prose.
Take no regrets to the grave.

I think the poet is saying it's better to have played the game fully and made mistakes. As he puts it, ''Take no regrets to the grave.'' Sounds like good advice to me.
