I Want What They HaveA Poem by PeteMatthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them." I went walking in the park this morning following last night's storm. Alone in myself. Consumed by my troubles. A family of robins suddenly happened to land nearby, seemingly out of nowhere. The rain had washed a buffet of bugs and worms to the surface. The birds rejoiced in their unexpected, newfound wealth. Hopping about like giggling children at school recess. Chirping in harmony like a glee club. No worries. No cares. They knew not from whence it came. Only that they had a legitimate claim. They were alive and free. Like you and me. It mattered not. It was paid for and bought. As it full well ought. Like a soothing, healing salve ... ... I want what they have ... © 2018 PeteAuthor's Note
