All the SameA Poem by Pete"The savage in man is never quite eradicated." - ThoreauWaves rise up and roll to the shore. Crashing evermore. Fallen leaves rustle around. Spent life that once was crowned. Seeds of tomorrow scatter about. Amidst cries of yesterday that wail and shout. People are talking everywhere. Their voices carried on cells through the air. Rain falls within me. The poet muses, "To be, or not to be?" Today is crying. Spirits are dying. Not enough souls reaching for the holy hem of the almighty's robe. Destiny continues its march around the spinning globe. Change goes through the agony of being born anew. Baptizing the ground like cool morning dew. So many strings. Holding what tomorrow brings. Sin dances like a puppet and goodness hides in shame. Isn't it ... ... all the same? ... © 2018 PeteAuthor's Note
