She drew the curtain behind her as she stepped into the confessional.
Kneeling,  she made the sign of the cross with her right hand.
In the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost.
She finished the benediction by adorning her fingers with a kiss.
Knowing full well that, 'U Can't Touch This'.
She began.
Bless me father, for I have sinned.
When I'm alone in my room I sometimes dance the Macarena.
I 'Give It Up'.
Playing on an 'Electric Slide'.
I engage in 'Risky Business', busting a move in my underpants.
Playing a mean air guitar whilst I prance.
I had an encounter with some 'Werewolves of London'
I'm in dire need of 'Lawyers, Guns and Money'.
These are my sins.
Please absolve me father.
It's just so entrancing.
When I'm dancing.
I want the most.
In the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost.
God is my captain, guiding me closer to home.
As I try to make my way, alone.
Oh please father, I ain't talkin' no jive.
I'm just tryin' to ...
... stay alive ...

I love how intense it is at the beginning of this poem. And then all of a sudden this happens:
"Bless me father, for I have sinned.
When I'm alone in my room I sometimes dance the Macarena."
I started laughing really loud, I'm still giggling. Thank you, I needed that haha. Other than that, great poem, different. I love the way you write, bro :) xo.

biting satire ... hypocrits we be ...one and all if we think we can actually do anything to gain Heaven .. i notice how in lines before your turn towards closing in "God is my Captain, guiding me closer to home." references to God are not capitalized .. attention to such detail adds to my feeling of resolution ..or i should say "absolution" in your closing ... born and raised Catholic i can very easily relate .. but for all Christian faiths the path, if one is true, all will tell us how faulty we are .. and especially with sex and pleasure the allure most always wins in one way or another ..walking in repentance and forgiveness seems an eternal all time condition ...with guilty conscience tagging along ... truth be told it takes a strong as rock commitment to overcome temptation with joy ... not a sense of "i have to do this or i must not do that" ... the commitment comes naturally when we see that some greater gift is in the offing ... and it only has requirements of "letting go" ;) great write says i .. enjoyed the songs and titles (could do without the vast scroll through the credits tho;) i think the overall form of your poem is visually catchy ... but i am a free verse kind of guy ... your title is instantly recognizable ..content hooked and held me ..change up of line length makes for natural breaks and emphasis says i ..well done ...i think the Thoreau quote is spot on!
