BecauseA Poem by Pete“When you knock, ask to see God – none of the servants.” - ThoreauI want to talk to God someday. Face-to-face without having to pray. There's so much to say. I want to ask him why truth had to die. Why moon and rock can't lie. Why the sun isn't shy. Why my tears ran dry. Before they fell from the sky. I have to know why betrayal lingers like a cancer. I'm adamant for an answer. I'll keep asking for eternity and won't stop. At least until my spirit's back on top. I want to know everything that was. I need to know why he does what he does. I just want to hear him say ... ... "Because" ... © 2018 PeteAuthor's Note
