If insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
then I'm bat-s**t crazy.
But then again.
I may be just fine.
Not keeping track of time.
Making words rhyme.
Able to squeeze a quarter from a dime.

Lunacy's pit is lined with lime.
Covered in slime.
Perhaps I'm just stuck.
In life's muck.
Running out of luck.
Spinning my wheels.
Whilst relativity's agent is busy fusing deals.
Could also be that I'm only impaired
because ...
... E = mc2

Great write to ponder on Pete. I agree with Albert’s words as I do on the author’s note. Maybe enthusiasm is replaced by cynicism as we get older giving us that grumpy old man title!

Squeezing quarters from dimes--that's my specialty. I use paper plates over. (Just the ones that are still clean) I'd say this poem exudes enthusiasm. And rhymes. Sorry to not offer advice on that E=Mc2, for it has me literally hornswoggled.
