LividityA Poem by Petelivor mortis. : hypostasis of the blood following death that causes a purplish red discoloration of the skin. — called also dependent lividity, postmortem lividity. They screw you. You screw them. Where does it end? So we pretend. In a ritual of mutual fornication. Eternal damnation. Empty promises and ambiguous guarantees. Cast down upon our knees. Fake smiles and limp handshakes. Thievery and earthquakes. Prayer shawls and beads. Humanity pleads. Harboring vanity. Spewing profanity. Rain is imbibed and falls yet again. We know not when. You can bail water from a sinking boat, for a time, but it's still going to sink. What is it that you think? You can't call ahead. Sin is dead. Searching for validity. Gripping stupidity. So long lucidity. Hello lividity ... © 2018 PeteAuthor's Note
