Wailing WallA Poem by PeteYou can ring your calloused hands. Stomp your fickle feet. Beat your chastised chest. Come on, give it your best. 'Tis where sins are confessed. Some even pull up chairs. No one cares. Hopes dashed and curses flowing from your mouth like a repugnant river. Chanting sacred prayers. Oblivious rocks scaled in layers. It all comes out in the wash. Pureed like holy squash. Wax hysterical. The angels numerical. Bring all the things you can't accept. Secrets kept. Tears wept. Let it pour rain. Bring on the pain. Back up the truck and unload. Recite the secret code. Pleading and bleeding. Pride comes before the fall. So give it your all. Step right up to the damned ... ... wailing wall ... © 2018 PeteFeatured Review
