C'est la VieA Poem by Pete"Make the most of your regrets; never smother your sorrow, but tend and cherish it till it comes to have a separate and integral interest. To regret deeply is to live afresh." - ThoreauTowers of power. Steady by the hour. Don't cower or wobble lest topple. Roaring, rapscallion roller-coaster amidst rhapsody. Take a deep breath. Tantalizing, theatrical tightrope. Don't look down. Tenacious, transfixing trapeze. Elusive and sweaty with tempestuous trauma. Hold on tight. Fantastical fire-eating. Drink plenty of faith. Life wears us down as the days pass by. Scouring like sandpaper on the soul. Lying on our deathbeds. Curled up for a curtain call. Frolicking faineant and fetal. A brazen balancing act of berserk, barbarous bravado. Written in braille. Wondering what awaits us on the other side. Hucksters hawk counterfeit tickets. Step inside the big-top. Take a bow. Reach up to the sky. Plunge into the net. Come along with me ... ... c'est la vie ... © 2018 PeteAuthor's Note
