Way back in the seat. One hand on the wheel. Arm leaning out the window. Not a care in the world. Refreshing summer breeze reminds me I'm alive. Favorite t-shirt and ripped jeans. Cool, dark shades. Everything looks like a T.V. show through the windshield. Not a care in the world. Radio is playing. Everyone moving to the beat of the music. Wheels keep the tempo. Going nowhere in particular. Not a damned care in the world. Tobacco tastes especially good today. Road is breathing. Asphalt is alive. Waiting for destiny to do its thing. So what. Past made me what I was. Present is a blessing. Future determines what I will be. Doesn't matter what's ahead. Only things I need are gas and more road. One care in the world. Just one. ... Drive ... © 2018 PeteAuthor's Note
