Tainted and twisted.

Painted and perpetual.

It was going to take an eternity this time ...

I like the elusiveness. I think it makes the poem a lot more relatable when the reader has to fill in the blanks of more specific details like what it is exactly that is going to take an eternity to heal.

I like the creative use of the full stop. It gave the elipsis at the end a stronger effect.

I liked the lines, “Tainted and twisted./painted and perpetual.” the most. A big reason for that being that I like the way they sound.
