King for a DayA Poem by PetePolitics makes strange bedfellows.Like those before him. Teflon and Juan. Generals and majors. Meddling magistrates. Meticulous and measured. Manipulative, moronic mayors of simpleton. Charismatic charge-cards. Bold, bald, blank checks. Worshipping the money Gods. With their Marilyns and Monicas. He with Daniels. Weathering storms. Their little heads doing the thinking. Spewing controversy like oblivious, ornate orgasms. An obscene Othello. Right hands raised over little black books. Their lefts covering private parts in nether regions. Holding up in manipulative mansions. Limousined and lying. Despicable, Double Windsor Knots. Devils in disguise. Neil sang to us about 'Tin Soldiers and Nixon Coming'. What will Don's final swan song be? His unholy undoing. Silicone, Sin and Sceptres? Scintillating and sensational. Stupidly happy while senses work overtime. The view from the top is always much better. Especially from twin peaks. Up in a bird's nest. Whilst sporting one. Please pardon the pardoner. Oh, to be ... ... king for a day ... © 2019 PeteAuthor's Note
