Mirror, MirrorA Poem by Pete.... and so I prayed ... Mirror, mirror, on the wall. Show me truth, fore I do fall. The sting of seemingly misspent faith. Foggy and streaked. Carnally crucified. Betrayed. Suspended. The spike of shame at my left. The nail of guilt to my right. Scourged by selfishness. Plagued by weeds of anger, bitterness and indifference. Spared only by the fertilizer of hope. Planted in a field of tranquility. No longer a penitential prisoner in the detention of darkness. Ruled by an unholy warden. I stand accused by a jury of demons. The enemy marching within. Wheels of confusion powered by an engine of evil. Beseeched by the guile of gossip. Comfort me. Oh, mirror, mirror, on the wall. I see the truth, my Lord ... ... my all ...
