Radioactive Rock Show

A Poem by Pete

Anticipation building.
Euphoria and excitement cuttable with a knife.
Pulses quicken.
Rhythms beckon.
Dressed to kill.
View to thrill.
Decked out in delectable denim and lubricious leather.
Cutoffs and costumes calling out.
Stiletto stilts strutting and stabbing.
Letting it all hang out.
Hair.
Lights.
Fire.
Smoke.
An ornery, orchestral orgy.

Bouncing bodies brazenly pressed together in a vicious, vacuous vice.
The scent of tobacco, cannabis, testosterone and pheromones combing the air like cajoling cologne.
Mechanical, metal, maniacal props menacing and melting.
Fists pumping.
Legs thumping.
Hands waving.
Booties craving.
Ears ringing.
Voices singing.
The base drum pounded with a thunderous explosion.
Snare drums snickered sharply.
Cymbals crashed in a captivating, catapulting crescendo.
Keyboards killing.
Piano keys willing.
Feet kicking.
Fingers picking.

There were raging riffs reverberating.
Steel strings shrieking salaciously.
Toxically teasing with tenacity.
Dark and mysterious.
Electric, energized and enticing.
Nuclear notes.
Louder than loud.
Deafening and debasing.
Clandestine cacophony catheterizing to the core.
Pulsing.
Shaking and quaking.
Rattling.
Rocking and rolling.
Sashaying and strolling.
Voices screaming and sizzling in supernatural surround.
Magnificent, masterful melodies mounting.
Come on, get in line.
It's time,
 for the ...
... radioactive rock show ...

Excellent satirical poem, or should I say explosion of words, colors, "nuclear notes", sounds, movement unleashed! As deafening, distorted and vortex-ial(?) as one of Dante's Circles. Stuns all the senses.Great form, rhyme, rhythm, intense imagery. I know you were there...me? I was at Woodstock, Shea, etc. Love this!
