Act of Contrition

As I knelt, the priest said, "Say ten Hail Mary's and ten Our Father's for your penance."

I knew that it was going to take a lot more than that to erase the stubborn stain on my soul.

A profuse outpouring of love and absolution to resolve this charismatic act of contrition ...

good point. one would have to admit guilt before seeking forgiveness. most would not even do that i guess.

Not an easy thing to do..... we are only advanced in technology not in spiritual development, unfortunately this gap could lead to our own destruction

that's a really interesting point you make. it seems as though the more technologically advanced we become the worse mankind gets. instead of focusing on money and technology the focus should be on nurturing souls and you can't put a pricetag on that.

Just look how far back we have fallen in this country.. building borders..... cutting enviromental budgets, allowing business to pollute the air again...history shows that nationalism leads to racism, hatred and people like Hitler.... if they taught history in schools here, we might have been in a whole different situation right now....
