Bird of Hope

Bird of Hope

A Poem by Pete

Image result for red robin bird

Today I saw a lost soul.
It came in the darkness.
Misguided by fateful fluttering.
Meekly and humbly blown by the breeze.
It was seeking pieces of paradise.
Tidbits of truth.
Morsels of meaning.
Bread of life.
It pecked at the cold, hard, barren ground.
Finding a crumb to sustain itself where there was none.
It chirped like a cherished cherub.
A chant of creation.
Singing a hymn of harmony.
It preened itself with the preaching of peace.
Hopping about in happiness.

It was adorned with feathers of faith.
The plumage of a pilgrimage.
Wearing a crest of contemplation.
Flying with wings of willingness.
Soaring in salvation.
In the clouds.
To the moon and sun.
Beyond the rainbow and stars.
Sailing as a sacrament.
It left in the light.
Quickly and boldly carried by the wind.
A red robin of redemption.
A bird of hope ...

This is simply wonderful Pete. I enjoyed the image how you created about the soul that came in darkness and how it got transformed into enlightened bird of hope. I guess this is supposed to be the journey of mankind. Amazing piece.
Its been long. How are you?

How utterly beautiful this is, Pete! I have mourning doves nesting outside my window, so this really hit home for me.

Wow, I must put this in my library, if only to remind me that there really are people who have a love for nature - like me!
