Couch Mall

Couch Mall

A Poem by Pete
"

A satirical piece on modern technology, shopping and the demise of the mall.

"

I pointed and clicked a 'Mickey' mouse with an aching, carpal tunnel wrist on Amazon.
I touched my smartphone, that was brighter than I, with a bony, crooked, arthritic finger on Ebay.
I paid with Pieces of Eight from my wallet on PayPal.
Stuff showed up at my doorstep.
I was famished and reached over to the coffee table food court.
Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changin' was playing through my earbuds.
I needed to relax, so I called up a movie on the phone.
This all took place in a Purple Haze.
... 'Whew', I'm exhausted and long for the good ol' days ...

I too long for the good ol' days. Technology has taken over our lives! I realize that because I'm on Ebay and Amazon 24/7.
Good write, Pete! I enjoyed reading this
