Amadour (Autumn's Present)

Amadour (Autumn's Present)

A Poem by owen
"

about walks in your neighbourhood on an autumn night and also about paranoia/anxiety

"
White street paint
Suffocation of a leaf
The city sunset's grey taint
Is nature's grief
The fluorescent street light
Dozens of silent houses
They are trying to be bright
They just illuminate
Where the dead mouse is
A block away
There is the hum of a bus
Then I hear footsteps
Oh, just a worker
But paranoia reigns
Not even the lamp I can trust
My shoes softly clack
The air smells of ailment
Spring's love will come back
But here, is autumn's present.

If autumn is present, it is what is. The rest is but dreams.
