And So, I Bleed

And So, I Bleed

A Poem by Patricia Thourne
"

This is an older one....

"

New breath, new life
The giver of light
He sees, he speaks
He offers his hand
He waits, he cries
He calls me his friend
He sees me, he loves
He gives as he does
I take and I breathe
I give all that I am
I make my way
With heart in hand
Willingly, breathlessly
I vow to love endlessly
A plea for a chance
To live for his smile
If only a moment
If just for a while
Heart and soul
As only I know
Thanking, laughing
Unveiling my SELF
Stepping from shadow
To fall on a shelf
Darkness and mystery
Confusion and misery
The giver is spent
The taker undone
Words left unspoken
Felt by no one
Wishing, wanting
Frightened, daunting
I cry out to be seen
Call out to My Friend
Reach out for the hand
Beg safety again
Nothing, nowhere
Aching despair
I await the return
For the rose from the seed
I have only one thistle
And so, I bleed.

About
I really have no specific mode or formula I write in. I simply write what comes to me. I don't always pay much attention to punctuation either . I feel it and put it to ink. Simple as that. It's more .. more..
