A Note For You

Though I do not remember writing this poem, it should still be shared with those willing to read it. I hope that it isn't too awful

I wish I could help myself. 
But every time I do myself keeps slipping away.
I want to be able to control my feelings, and keep them locked inside. 
I don't want to say I love you, but I know that I have to. 
But what will you think if I told you that I love you? 
Would you look at me the same way? 
Would you care for what I say? 
Would you even talk to me anymore? 
I wish I could know what you're thinking so I don't have to wonder anymore. 
But I want you to know that I love you, and that I'm not afraid.
So when you read this I'll soon be gone. 
So please don't try and stop me. 
Though I know you might not anyway. 
I wish that you would love me the way I love you. 
But that's too selfish of me to ask that from you. 
I'll miss you so much and I'll try not to cry. 
But you were my one true love. 
I'll meet you again someday, 
So if you even care, 
Don't worry about me, 
I'll be back before you know.
