EmotionA Poem by prymoreA poem about emotions, a bit of a depressing one now that I'm reading it back, just flowed out of my mind, may as well post it.
Grief
Loss Love Happiness Sadness Depression Crippling loneliness Happiness in distant memories Only remember it in the distant past Before the deaths Stereotypes limiting emotional outputs Men shouldn't cry Women always cry The stages of grief make me sick Each and every person goes through grief differently Stereotypes and social norms limit mental health for all Damned virus limiting support at the moment Men can cry Let emotions out Don't hold back Cry alone if you worry I do often Thinking of grief Even if tears dont fall I still cry for loss In the back of my mind it tells me No don't cry Man up Social norms ignorance it is Men cry Just as women sometimes don't Depends on the person The heart inside We live only once We must make the best of it Limited time Never realize how limited till it's gone I'm done with worry Done with stereotypes They're ignorant Limiting Harming I'm done with them I will cry on my own Cry about lost time with lost loved ones Cry thinking back at the good times before my family fell apart Before everyone died Emotions are healthy No one can or should tell you different Let out emotions Bottling them up are useless I frequently do Try to put on a face for loved ones The few that are left I frequently do Sometimes its required But not always Not as much as I do Let emotions run free Flow free like a river Like a river of emotions Remember the good times Before restrictive masks When I could breath going into a store Before my family died Emotions bottled inside I'm finished with it I'm content with letting go of stereotypes and restrictions of the such I'm content to let my emotions flow free
