stuck without reality

my expectations and standards are valid
i’m going to get what i want
and if i don’t, that’s okay
because i know i deserve the world

i can’t help but want to be held
to be loved because of the depths of my soul
to connect spiritually, mentally, physically

i know i’d be okay on my own
i’m confident in my skin
but i still find myself dreaming of a love story
that gives me adrenaline, passion, and connection l in one.
