The smile

The smile

A Poem by prabal
"

How people use their smiles

"
The smile. A weapon of the genius
He knows when to use it
To baffle his enemies
To astound his peers

The smile. A shroud of the clever
A curtain that hides his heart
A sparkle of charm
A spell to ensnare

The smile. The wings of the wise
Takes flight in the face of danger
Shields him from the blowing wind
Captivates those around

The smile. A joke of the jester
When no other sarcasm or satire works
When a sword is at his throat
When reminded of the forgotten

The smile. A faced of the fool
He knows when to use it
Half-wit jokes, funerals all the same
Friends, foes all the same

You seem to have unsheathed my smile. Loaded my weapon and pulled the trigger. Now it will have friends, once you build an army.

I very much enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
