Internal SacrificeA Poem by Prophet In The MakingWritten while abroad in South Africa. A reflection on my existence and the sacrifices it took for me to be here.Oh dear Motherland, ridden with strife, pain, and sacrifice, continue to provide me wisdom, nourishment, and tender care, as I move to defy the earthly boundaries that dare to confine my soul. Let the internal pains of your people pour over me, bathe me, in a veil of holy pride and godly ambition, and allow me to never forget that once united as one, a body can accomplish anything; and that all sacrifices made on the inside allow for growth, development, and enrichment of one heart, one mind, and one resounding voice that will pierce through the heavens, And fall gracefully upon the ears of angels. Thus restoring peace, serenity, and hope to a land ridden with internal sacrifices. © 2023 Prophet In The Making |
