We Have Yet a Tango Left

We Have Yet a Tango Left

A Poem by Prolific In Verse
"

Love never dies, she just reincarnates like the best of them.

"

I loved more than what was possible

More than what was necessary

In the poetic delirium of too much living!

You walked away from my bulk of love

Under your own real-life burdens

And in the anatomy of going mad

All I see is, nothing but heart

Roaring everywhere, the personal mission

Of one soul or the next, tell me

Of your passions, I’ve heard of every one

Now that I have lost control of my heart

Who am I to give it to anyone?

I love you too, more than you could handle

Now, I drag myself about with lyrical exhaustion

Ready to nurse the world

I carry you like an acrobat

In the dirty physics of our groans

I smile the call of snowdrifts and rockets

All for you my pretty one.
