A Poem by Prolific In Verse

I am the red-turbaned spirit

The glad-boat of water flowing

In matter, in pursuit of the purest energy

The still whistle, the hush before death

The within me bursts, in watery syllables

To witness the regina of clouds

The scepters of the sun, those

Glorious crowns of the moon

In the lives of my comrades

In the out-pouring of the stages of life

I am the exiled clash of many worlds

The immigrant choice of new choices

The starry connaissance of dreams

Those wishes that bubble radiant

While we think of stone and labor

The wet etiquette of most divine subjectivity

The orchid-air, the acrid surreal-thirst

I am the measure of intensity in love

Unfolding myself in the verve of earth

As a touch on the skin of beloved women.
