Can Spring by My Eternity

Can Spring by My Eternity

A Poem by Prolific In Verse

I can already feel the soft fields

Of spring’s fruit-buds burrow in my chest

Taming to woo eternity, those birds of Paradise

That shall outwait this winter

To serve love on her dish of gold

And find the flower-bells, in new eyes

Laugh, while tulips conquer goat-footed

I am already as, a glittering snake of Paradise

Ready to leap green geese, lotus herds

I am the new year dawning, bright sunsets

The higher sensualism of all fate

Here takes delicious root in me

Trumpets of angels to be reached!

To thrill the sense with purer emotions

Trembling like a stalk of racing time

On the edge of water-hidden breasts

Buttercup and dew, like fields we used to own

I dream like cherries ripening firm and big.

Beautiful dream of spring...you and those like you are the reason I don't claim to be a poet but a "verse--monger"...
