Unless You Can Die when the Dream is Past

Unless You Can Die when the Dream is Past

A Poem by Prolific In Verse

Mutuality was our final innovation

The place where we knew we end

Choice and conscience, to her resting place

The reflex to share the universe

Compelling life to love these inherited forms

The magnet charisma of nature’s poles

Reciprocity was our dependency

Counted over the times we made love

And laughed in the winds of truer loving

To speak the blushing air of bold feeling!

Into the lingering night without a fear

But fear all too well to call it loving

Relationship was our softest rhythm:

To the absent face that was just a dream?

Somehow unaware of when the song is done.
