Rest Home for Aging TomesA Poem by von FrosztA poem about a library, written in a library. One of two poems written on the virtues of libraries.. the other one is likely the better..
The Rest Home for Aging Tomes,
A curious place indeed. Cozy nooks, a thousand books, All for me to read. The aging books have kept their looks In part due to the home. What’s inside is from the minds of humanity’s greatest known authors and bothersome philosophy mongers and genre-specific, macabre and horrific themes for old and younger than. Readers interpret words that were writ As if only for you, yes, YOU! Each book is treasured beyond a measure This hybrid of paper, words and glue The books have regaled, with thousands of tales Literate folks across the world. Those who can read can get what they need From endless pages unfurled Minds can get lost in poems by Frost And stories like Faust leave us broken So much inspiration, these perfect creations These words that are read but not spoken So go to the Home and visit these Tomes Before they all die of old age They’ll fill you with stories of all categories.. It’s simple as turning a page. © 2018 von FrosztAuthor's Note
