The mirror stared back hard at her revealing her worst fears,she shuddered just looking at it.She looked at her eyes,sky blue and somewhat mysterious. Big rounded and heavy set by the artificial eyelashes that most men found sexy,she added a touch of eye shadow that complemented her eye color. She took the comb and proceeded to layer her long hair slowly and meticulous, she had always had long hair since childhood,men loved this too.Caramel black with specks of blonde here and there,at one point in high school she had dyed it red,but that had been when Rihhana was a fashion icon. Now she just kept it natural.There was a fresh scar on her left cheek,she applied some blush to cover it up.She cringed as the chemical stung making her eyes watered. She had a cut lower lip a day old so easy to hide.The day before it had been swollen but a night of sleep always took care of that.she added some eyeliner making her eyebrows appear thicker.
Her fight with Chad the night before had serious he almost broke her rib,it was still throbbing with pain from the blows. She shouldn't have been so unreasonable, Chad was right,he always was add to the fact that she hadn't bought ketchup yet she had cooked fries.Fries and ketchup go hand in hand she knew that, yet she forgot to buy the damn ketchup, it was all her fault, all her bosses fault for not paying her yesterday. Deep down she new Chad loved her and she made a resolve to be good. She remembered the time Chad had broken her right hand during an argument, that day she had fallen asleep on the bench while waiting for the late night bus and as a result had gotten home late.Chad had accused her of cheating and beaten her unconscious, if only she hadn't fallen asleep, or maybe she should have explained herself to him better. He loved her he would have understood, it was stupid of her.She felt bad for Karen, her four year old baby,she had witnessed the fight and it had scared her,still she knew Chad loved her,and her baby too.
She had gotten Karen from a previous relationship that had ended badly,when the boyfriend assaulted another woman who was trying to extort him into paying child care,the b***h was just jealous of her.It was the boyfriends 3rd strike and he thus got life in prison. But now she had Chad, had grown up in juvenile but they accused him of doing wasn't true,they were all lies.Chad loved her baby Karen and always stayed with her when she had to work late nights.She remembered a time Chad had given Karen a glass of juice with vodka in it,that was funny as hell,her baby could barely stand.Nowadays Karen had become withdrawn and she did not know why,and it always happened when Chad was around, her playfulness was subsiding, maybe she was just growing up.Kids are like that anyways. She is to start school in 3 months time and now she'll have to work more shifts to sup support her babies Chad and Karen, oh how she loved them.
