I Am FromA Poem by procrastinationwoohoo this was a prompt in writing class this is trash like me woohoo thanks guys
I am from the pages of books.
Adventures with elves, fights with villainous sorcerers. Inked words on yellowing pages. Bringing me to the Shire, Avonlea, Hogwarts, Pemberley. I am from the notes on a staff. Arpeggios and runs and chords and vibrato Silver strings, black and white keys Horsehair, glossy wood, fiberglass, brass pedals I am from the tree near the edge of the creek The life-saver I clung on to when I was lost When the water was crashing down The savior from my stupidity and recklessness. I am from late nights sparring with Words on chatrooms, debating anything Sabres on Thursdays, ending with a handshake and "good game" Thoughts at night, questioning life, dreading the future. I am from late nights on the internet The memes on Tumblr, the creators on YouTube. Profound questions on Quora about philosophy and polymaths Succumbing into the black hole of endless Wikipedia sprees. I am from the world Doctors, medical researchers Wuhan, China; Zionsville, Indiana; Texas. Yet I'm from myself and curious introspection
