Sin

Sin

A Poem by Priyanka Sharma

If he was a sin, I bear no regrets
and seek no penance.
A sin, I would willingly thrust into
when opportune again.
My atheist soul doesn't understand prayers,
but if this is how it feels, to surrender to an unforeseen stranger,
then, I would rather call him a prayer.
One who could turn a non believer into a believer cannot be a sin.
He wasn't a sin
but a symbol of my theism!

I love the symbolism of comparing him to a prayer instead of a sin.
